AMD has added a new GPU towards its lineup for mobile products, the RX 5300M was of course already spotted in the MacBook Pro 16". The mobile GPU will entail four models of which RX 5300M is one of them.

The 5500M is based on 22 compute / 1408 processors. 4 GB gddr6 memory has been added to this via a 128 bit wide memory bus. The RX 5300M has 1408 shader processors as well but running a 200 MHz lower boost clock - its memory bus is reduced to 96 bits and that means less gDDR6 memory, 3 GB of it.

Interesting to note is that the Radeon Pro models that Apple uses are different from the 'regular' GPUs. The Radeon Pro 5500M offers 24 compute units, and that is  1536 cores. This includes 4 or 8 GB gddr6 via a 128-bit wide bus. Thanks to a lower tdp of 50 watts for the 16 "MacBook Pro, the boost clock is considerably lower - 1300 MHz. The Radeon Pro 5300M has 20 cu's with 1280 cores and receives a 1250 MHz boost clock in the same thermal envelope.
