Over at CES AMD added a new APU SKU, this is the A10-7890K APU. It is based on ther FM2 chipset, and also is based on kaveri with a small tweak. The A10-7890K Desktop APU would be the fastest one available (for an APU).
The A10-7890K Turbo frequency is 4.30 GHz (4.20 GHz for the A10-7870K). The base clock speed remains the same.
AMD also announces that it is working with its motherboard partners to launch an updated series of socket FM2+ and AM3+ motehrboards. These would be fitted with USB 3.1 type-C and type-A, and M.2 PCIe slots. See the slides.
