AMD 2nd Generation Ryzen Threadripper Retail Boxes Photos Leak

Nothing is safe on the web. Photos of the AMD 2nd Generation Ryzen Threadripper Retail Boxes. We all know that AMD is intending to launch some new Threadripper goodness soon, and it seems it'll be getting new packaging.

The boxes have a nice large acrylic window that is showing the inside, another box holding the processor and accessories. The good seems to light up with some translucent material.  On the back, AMD says the new Ryzen Threadripper is "Unlocked. Unrestrained. Uncompromising".

Unlocked, Unrestrained, Uncompromising, .. nice. Reviews on Ryzen Threadrippers can be expected in the coming weeks.

The Threadripper box sitting proudly on my shelf says otherwise ;)

as observer with ties to the industry i can say unequivocally that AMD's marketing people are in the right place doing the right things. at Intel, they're in charge (which imo is why they're struggling atm).

the AMD people are treating the HEDT market with respect and are showing their love in the packaging. they know our deep down geekyness. next stop action figures ;):p:p

I will be happy to pay extra $20 for TR and TR2 box, it not like buying 4C CPU, those are Monster CPU's that you should be proud no own, every one that will visit you and sees this box will be" OMG you got the ThreadRipper!"

it like that you prefer to save 5% on a FERRARI and get the same performance in a Fiat body, YOU PAY EXTRA ON FERRARI TO GET THE FERRARI's LOOK and luxury!

to begin with 5% on a Ferrari is a substantial discount especially on the more expensive models ! Also is a bit missed example Ferrari does not come in a box .... i want to believe people they buy thread-rippers they buy it for what the cpu can do and not just to show off the box .... ^^ although @D3M1G0D 's box on the shelf looks sweet! ... i kept boxes in the past to put em somewhere as decoration ... but at the end they ended up in the attic because after they where in my pc i did not care enough :p , and well i mean ... you can show em the glory of the 32~64 threads on the task manager that will drop their jaws a lot more than the box !
