Alleged AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT pops up in 3DMark - Faster than Vega 56
A new an unknown graphics card has surfaced on the trenches of the UL ORB, again spotted bu Redditor u/_rogame. The these here is that it is the Radeon RX 5600, and if correct, this puppy could be matching the VEGA 56/64 in performance.
It is expected that AMD will be releasing the card series early next year, perhaps we'll see a CES announcement in a few weeks time. The 6GB card surfaced in the online result browser for 3DMark, and shows potential alright. Time Spy scores a graphics score of 6446 points, despite using an older processor. That value matching Vega 56 which hovers at roughly 6500 (however e use a much faster proc).
In the Fire Strike the scores are roughly equal as well, CES 2020 - held from 7 to 10 January.

As predicted it will further prove that the 5500 series was absolutely unnecessary.

I'm looking forward to nvidia bringing out the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Super to plug this gap the 5600 just made

AMD will have 3 cards competing against 6 nvidia at this rate. All it shows is that nvidia got lazy being at the top and they were milking the cow. Competition is always good.
I don't see Nvidia releasing any more cards until their next gen are released.

I would say it's fine, but the pricing isn't right. They would kill totally Polaris cards and still plenty of them are in stock. First sell then lower prices I guess

i think the 5500 series is kinda hit and miss atm, first of all not much difference between the 4g and 8g models but there is an article saying that its limited by the pci-e 3.0 and 4.0 unlocks more performance.
second is the pricing of the 5500 series i think it is a bit high at this late stage of 2019, if the price drop by 15% i think its a great entry-high-ish level of card for what it can do.
Like the GTX1050ti 4gb was great value providing solid frames @ medium high settings for most titles.

This is looking good. Vega56 at half the power consumption. It needs to stay at 250$ to be competitive though.
