Alienware Also Debuts High-Performance Monitors, Keyboards & Mice

Alienware Also Debuts High-Performance Monitors, Keyboards & Mice

Alienware also introduces gaming monitors, keyboards and mice with signature premium design, updates Alienware 15 notebook with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q.

Alienware's been short on branded accessories, but now it's moving to rectify that starting with a small number of keyboard, mouse and monitor options. Currently, the Alienware GearShop tosses you out to Dell's site and its S series of low-key budget gaming displays like the S2417DG and AW2518H . The AW2518H is a 24.5 inch 1080p monitor with a fast 240Hz native refresh rate and 1ms response time (1080p). To hit those high speeds, the monitor uses a TN panel with 400 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The monitor is available in two flavors: the AW2518H, which features Nvidia's G-Sync technology and will retail at $699, and the AW2518HF, a $499 FreeSync variant. Both available now.

Now you've got an option to match your Alienware system with a flashier 25-inch display with an angular tripod-footed stand, glowing accents -- including the trademark green alien head -- and support for either FreeSync ($500; directly converted, £385 and AU$660) or G-Sync ($700; directly converted, £540 and AU$925). In addition to being the company's first FreeSync-compatible offering, it hits the high notes -- 240Hz refresh without overclocking.

Delivering on fans’ requests, Alienware is debuting a full range of performance oriented gaming monitors and peripherals with its signature premium design and the specs and customization that gamers demand including Alienware’s AlienFX lighting, which works with more than 150 titles, including Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, Shadow Warrior 2 and Agents of Mayhem (available August 15, 2017), for in-game lighting effects.Monitors –

The Alienware 25” gaming monitor, with either NVIDIA G-SYNC (AW2518H) or AMD FreeSync, (AW2518HF), offers fast, responsive gameplay with virtually no input lag, at an extremely rapid 1 ms panel response time, and a native 240Hz refresh rate. With three preset display modes, full adjustability, single-diecast stand legs, and a seamless panoramic multi-monitor view with ultra-thin bezel in 1920x1080 resolution, the Alienware 25” gaming monitor is perfect for any gamer.

Since theyre owned by Dell the monitors might be ok, but probably very overpriced. I cant imagine buying an alienware desktop though. Its too Mac trash can like for me.

Keyboards, definitely not. My next keyboard is going to be a Topre made in Japan.
