Albatron and Galaxy doing ATI cards is unconfirmed

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/15/2009 09:43 AM | source: | 0 comment(s)

A new rumour on the web popped up yesterday stating that both Galaxy and Albatron (Palit really) would soon start shipping ATI Radeon HD graphics cards. Granted it's rather unusual to see so many AIBs defect lately, very few exclusive NV partners would remain like eVGA, BFG, Zotac, Point of View:

Posted at Fudzilla: Since Nvidia already limited Albatron to the Asian market only it was easy to be expected that they would start selling ATI. Albatron is the first one that wants to sell ATI cards as well.

The second player is big in Poland and some other territories in Europe and it goes by the name of Galaxy. The company is part of the big group of graphics world controlling people better known as Palit, and since Palit itself and its branches, including Gainward, are selling ATI based products, it was just natural to see Galaxy ATI based cards.

We just got word back from Galaxy denying the rumour though. We are still awaiting response from Albatron.

Galaxy: Please note Galaxy does not plan to create any graphics based on ATI GPUs thus far. If we will decide to do so, you will be the first person to know about it, from a decent source .
