Akasa announces Plus variants for the Galileo, Euler, and Maxwell fanless cases

Akasa announced three variations of their high performance fanless cases. The Galileo TU Plus, Euler TX Plus, and Maxwell Pro Plus have been updated for compatibility with Intel’s latest LGA 1700 sockets. The advanced 7 nm manufacturing process requires a slightly altered heatsink and mounting mechanism.



Akasa have also announced new cases for the NUC Compute Elements and the NVIDIA Jetson Nano, the latest examples in modular computing. These cases secure the boards in a small form factor, allowing for smooth, cool airflow throughout the components. Akasa will be at the Embedded World 2022 show between 21st – 23rd June in Hall 1, Booth 658 (next to Door 4).

Galileo TU Plus
Akasa’s Galileo TU can cater for a variety of applications. The dark aluminium body is discreet and minimalist and provides excellent cooling for thin mini-ITX motherboards. Installation is quick and easy; the Galileo can be mounted in a server rack and includes space for a multitude of drives and connections. Up to four 2.5” drives can be installed; Galileo TU and TU1 have two internal and two external bays, whilst Galileo TU2 and TU3 have four internal bays. Multiple USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectors are fitted into the premium aluminium case, giving four additional USB ports for peripherals.

The Galileo TU Plus is made for small form factor builds, geared to thinner applications (only 43.6mm in height). Its slim body allows it to be mounted to wall racks, cabinets, or server boards, or to the back of TVs, monitors, or commercial displays. With the wider length and width, this fanless case is still efficient in its ability to dissipate heat and stay completely silent, with a TDP rating of 35W.

Euler TX Plus
Meanwhile, the Euler TX Plus is built for thin mini-ITX cases and is ideal for business and education environments. With its small form factor, it can be hidden away or stored securely. A small footprint of 3.9L makes it a good option for many applications where space is a valuable commodity, and the silent operation is always a positive. Euler TX Plus comes with one internal 2.5” drive bay and four USB 2.0 ports for additional accessories. Security is paramount for these cases, which may be used in high-risk areas such as ATMs, which the Kensington lock can help with by securing the data on these devices. With the strong aluminium chassis, heat is not a problem with the Euler Plus, which is rated for a 35W TDP. The sleek build is a perfect addition to a silent, discreet setup, compatible with the ASUS Pro H610T D4-CSM motherboard.

Maxwell Pro Plus
High-end processors usually require a hefty cooler equipped with high-speed fans, but Akasa’s Maxwell Pro plus fanless mini-ITX case can tame the beast, all whilst producing nothing but silence. The Maxwell Pro can handle the newest 12th Generation of Intel Core processors up to 65W TDP and is the perfect pair for activities such as content creation and 4K video streaming. The high-performance fanless case can adequately maintain temperatures around 80°C under load and completes the tremendous trio of Plus cases in Akasa’s new range. The Maxwell Pro Plus is compatible with mini-ITX cases such as Asus’s ROG STRIX Z690-I and B660-I, Gigabyte’s Z690I/B660I Aorus Ultra, and MSI’s MEG Z690I Unify.
Intel NUC Compute Element (H-Series and U-Series) cases

Akasa introduces new cases for the NUC Compute Element H-Series, up to NUC 12 Extreme in the form of the Cypher QX, HDB and HCL. These revolutionary modular PCs lead way forward for computing, with whole embedded parts which can be upgraded easily. These cases are large enough for full size, two slot width graphics cards, (e.g., RTX 3080Ti) whilst keeping computer within a small form factor. The sleek design displays your NUC Compute Element H-Series, with windows on the Cypher QX and HDB to show off internal hardware. In the instance of HCL version, there is an integrated 240 mm AIO watercooler.

Akasa will also showcase some OEM/ODM solutions for Intel’s NUC Compute Element U-Series. The U-Series of NUC Compute Elements follows the familiar size previously seen in NUCs, measuring 80mm x 110 mm. The smaller size allows for a wider range of applications, such as remote computing, discrete devices, and handheld, integrated computers (an example is shown in the image below, inside an Akasa OEM case).


NVIDIA Jetson Nano compatible cases

The release of the Jetson Nano™ Developer Kit has been a success; the focus on high performance in a small form factor has been essential for embedded developers and AI development. Demand for high end cases to pair with the powerful computer has increased; to meet these demands, Akasa has released the Machina N and Pascal N for compact yet effective passive cooling, and the Cypher N which provides a sturdy and competitively priced case with active cooling.
