After upgrading to Windows 11 you have 10 days to change your mind and restore

After upgrading to Windows 11 you have 10 days to change your mind and restore

Microsoft is likely to release Windows 11 on October 20, with a lot of modifications and a big makeover. Users not pleased with the upgrade can go back to Windows 10 for 10 days.

It will preserve both files and data. Then consumers can build their own backup after which a clean operating system installation can still be carried out. The information is provided via the FAQ on the Microsoft homepage. At the very bottom of the questions, it says: "If I don't like Windows 11, can I return to Windows 10 after an upgrade?." The answer is this: "Yes. If you have installed the upgrade for Windows 11, you will be able to re-install files and data to Windows 10 for a 10-day period."

Don't worry, Windows 10 is still supported until October 2025, (if you are not a Windows 11 lover).

Idk, I've played several games now on Windows 11 and the only one I'm having a problem with is Starcitizen. Every other game performs identically to 10. To me the OS even in it's unfinished state is much better than 10.

Win 11 is causing more troubles than it's worth. It doesn't offer any improvement in performance so I'll pass. Not a new os, just a sneaky naming to make you think it is.

It did for me right I saw improvement in performance on my very old i5 3rd gen CPU vs Windows 10

Switched back due to performance drop in some benchmarks (games), but I needed to re-seat CPU and disable TPM 2.0 to actually install a W10 again without errors when windows requested first reboot (after copying files).

Interesting, why a reseat? Couldn’t you just wipe the keys, disable Secure Boot and the TPM module?

Also what games were having trouble, I was thinking about upgrading to W11 but I think I’ll wait until it’s official release now.
