After beta, Battlefield 2042 system requirements were altered.

After beta, Battlefield 2042 system requirements were altered.

In preparation for the imminent (early) launch of Battlefield 2042's early access phase, EA and DICE have upgraded the system requirements for the shooter.

There are two noticeable differences, the minimum system requirements for Battlefield 2042 no longer include a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, but instead merely a Ryzen 5 1600 processor instead.  Electronic Arts are now adhering to the AMD CPU minimum requirements, even if the recommendations remain consistent with the original presentation.

 Minimal hardware (old)Minimal Hardware (New)
Windows Windows 10 64 bit Windows 10 64 bit
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Ryzen 5 1600

Graphics card AMD Geforce GTX 1050 Ti Geforce GTX 1050 Ti
Graphics cards Nvidia Radeon RX 560 Radeon RX 560
Storage space 100 GByte HDD 100 GByte HDD

Then there is one additional change: instead of a Radeon RX 6600 XT, a Radeon RX 6600 Non-XT is now suggested in place of the former. It is possible that the RX 6600 is currently deemed an entry-level card merely since it was announced in the middle of October and has only been around for a short period of time ( RX 6600 in the PCGH test ). Battlefield 2042 necessitates the use of the RTX 3060 and RX 6600, which are the cheapest and most up-to-date raytracing cards available from Nvidia and AMD.

Tested myself, can barely break 70% gpu usage on a 3080ti/3900x @3440x1440p... Ray tracing off all else maxed, rarely do I hit something around 100FPS

Using ultra preset ?

custom and went all to the max (ultra preset doesn't have max ambient occlusion iirc)

Ye... you'd likely see something like 140ish fps with low settings, as it alleviates the cpu limitation.

Isnt the cpu utilization also a bit high? Mig's 12900k have 24threads and usage on his pic is 77%. I cant imagine game would run decent on anything below 16threads.

Dice is doing a tremendous work, trying to beat CDPR for a broken launch of a hyped game.
