After beta, Battlefield 2042 system requirements were altered.

After beta, Battlefield 2042 system requirements were altered.

In preparation for the imminent (early) launch of Battlefield 2042's early access phase, EA and DICE have upgraded the system requirements for the shooter.

There are two noticeable differences, the minimum system requirements for Battlefield 2042 no longer include a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, but instead merely a Ryzen 5 1600 processor instead.  Electronic Arts are now adhering to the AMD CPU minimum requirements, even if the recommendations remain consistent with the original presentation.

 Minimal hardware (old)Minimal Hardware (New)
Windows Windows 10 64 bit Windows 10 64 bit
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Ryzen 5 1600

Graphics card AMD Geforce GTX 1050 Ti Geforce GTX 1050 Ti
Graphics cards Nvidia Radeon RX 560 Radeon RX 560
Storage space 100 GByte HDD 100 GByte HDD

Then there is one additional change: instead of a Radeon RX 6600 XT, a Radeon RX 6600 Non-XT is now suggested in place of the former. It is possible that the RX 6600 is currently deemed an entry-level card merely since it was announced in the middle of October and has only been around for a short period of time ( RX 6600 in the PCGH test ). Battlefield 2042 necessitates the use of the RTX 3060 and RX 6600, which are the cheapest and most up-to-date raytracing cards available from Nvidia and AMD.

Why DLSS t just 3440x1440 on a 3090? I mean, other than if you're getting such low FPS. I would expect to get more on a 3090.. Even at 60% utilization.

Is your brain seriously unable to compute, that he is being limited by something else than his gpu, hence his low gpu usage...

The guy have 12900k with ddr5 memory. He can be only limited by crappy game optimization.

This is exactly the thing. Nvidia is making you use dlss even at 1440p this days otherwise your framerate sucks even if using 3090.

Look at this crap. My question is also why the hell is fps so low without dlss

Kinda bad example though, cause what makes the fps so bad is 1. bad implementation of raytracing 2. game made by a single dude, hence optimization aint gonna be great regardless.

Read his comments above :)

That said, it's obvious that this game engine can't properly handle 128 players.

Actually the game is well optimized. At least without RTX.
But it seems the dev pushed RTX settings a lot, resulting in such low performance.
It's a bit like the tesselation in Crysis 2, back in the day.
