AMD is anticipated to low-cost release motherboards for its Ryzen 7000 series processors in the near future. The Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC), a regulatory body, has listed motherboards based on the A620 chipset, which are expected to fill an important market gap by being the first entry-level options for the new AM5 platform.

The current motherboards available for the Ryzen 7000 series, such as the X670 Extreme, X670, B650 Extreme, and B650, remain relatively expensive, but the introduction of lower-cost processors, such as the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700, and Ryzen 5 7600, will likely be accompanied by more affordable motherboard options.

While the company has yet to confirm the A620 motherboard specifications, it is likely that these models will have some resource constraints in comparison to the currently available options, such as limited overclocking capabilities, fewer USB ports, and fewer PCIe lanes. However, the recent listing of these models on the ECC suggests that the company will soon reveal more information about the new products.

AMD's upcoming motherboard prices are expected to be lower than their current models. The company's cheapest AM5 motherboard models currently use B650 chipsets, which start at around $160 USD depending on the model. The upcoming A620 chipset is expected to launch at a lower cost, well below these prices perhaps $125 USD.

Models listed on the ECC website are

  • Gigabyte AORUS A620M D3H
  • Gigabyte AORUS A620M DS3H
  • Gigabyte AORUS A620M S2H
  • Gigabyte AORUS A620M H
  • Gigabyte AORUS A620MK
