Acer XG270HU 27-in 2560 x 1440 TN Gets FreeSync
Acer is to release the XG270HU mid April, but more exciting is the news that this model will feature AMDs FreeSync. A quick 1ms response time assures that actions or dramatic transitions will be rendered smoothly without smearing or ghosting effects.
Built with post-consumer recycled ABS plastic, this monitor adorns the characteristic Acer gaming identity with a bold orange strip along the bottom horizontal frame and also outlines the base stand. For easy connectivity, the XG270HU includes HDMI 2.0, DVI, and DisplayPort 1.2.
The XG270HU is built with Acer EyeProtect technologies. This includes flicker-less technology that eliminates screen flicker through a stable supply of power; ComfyView which reduces reflection from light sources on the non-glare panel, low-dimming technology that adjusts screen brightness when working in non-optimal lighting conditions, and a blue light filter to reduce blue light exposure.

These are starting to get really tempting but I don't like the idea of either sticking with a GPU brand or losing full functionality of a monitor.

Actually adaptive sync capable monitor or should I say DP 1.2a standard. And "free" means no license fee to AMD. What do you mean you must buy freesync capable monitor to have freesync ??? You must buy 1440p capable monitor to get res up to 2560x1440.

I agree with you, but I believe nVidia can support adaptive sync just by software (driver). If I remember correctly there is this Asus laptop that can have g-sync enabled without g-sync module. So in term of ge-force owner, maybe driver hack can enable g-sync with adaptive sync monitor.

G-Sync vs Freesync all I need to see, cons and pro and maybe I will switch sides,a 390X and 1440p Freesync, because G-Sync is working really well and I don`t want to lose the feeling, the smoothness.
