Both the Predator X4 and X27U will use OLED panels. The Predator X45 is the larger of the two options, boasting a 45-inch OLED display with UWQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz.

Typically, the panel's brightness is 150 nits, and its curvature is 800R. HDR's maximum brightness, however, is just 1000 nits. Its OLED display makes its 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and 0.01 ms pixel reaction time not surprising. Also, according to Acer, the 10-bit screen displays 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The Predator X45 on its end has two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, a USB-C port with 90 watts of power delivery, and a USB 3.2 hub for peripherals. The new top gaming display from Acer also features dual 5-watt speakers. The Predator X27U is a downsized gaming monitor that features a QHD (2560 x 1440) OLED panel with a refresh rate of 240 hertz. The Predator X27U has the same contrast ratio (1,500,000:1), brightness (typically 150 nits) and brightness (maximum 1,000 nits) as its larger sibling, and nearly as much coverage (98.5 percent) of the DCI-P3 colour space. A pair of 5-watt speakers and a port arrangement similar to that of the Predator X45 are also included in the Predator X27U. The Predator X45 and X27U have an inbuilt KVM switch and utilise AMD's FreeSync Premium technology, allowing you to easily move between several computers.

Acer has announced that the Predator X45, retailing for $1,699 in North America, will be released in the second quarter of this year. Simultaneously, the smaller Predator X27U will be available for $1,099.
