Acer Predator X34 Will get 100Hz Refresh Rate Support

Acer Predator X34 Will get 100Hz Refresh Rate Support

Acer is released slash offering two 34" ultra-wide gaming screens, the XR341CK and the XR341CKA. These new screens offered 34" curved format screens with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440 x 1440 resolution based on a LG AH-IPS panel, boosted refresh rates and a selection of advanced gaming features including AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-sync respectively.

These screens were released as 75 Hz screens, however as it now seems Acer decided to change the model number to a simpler "Predator X34" screen and there's a new spec, it will support refresh rates up to 100Hz. Reports suggest that is only available when using G-sync specifically, AMD users and non-G-sync users could only use the screen up to an expected 75Hz.

The estimated first ETA for the 'updated' Predator X34 at the moment is the beginning of October for retail availability. We expect the price to be more than the XR341CK given the G-sync module, but a final retail price has yet to be announced.

As I put in the video, you are still comprimising with this monitor. Terrible black levels. Nothing like VA or Plasma, OLED. Still terrible tech until black levels are they way they used to be with CRT. Games look so pale and washed out regardless of monitor compared.

that's not exactly the same monitor, it's the 75Hz freesync one. Acer X34 reviews won't be out until next month or so.

Awesome news that it will support 100hz.. Had full intention getting this monitor on release at 75hz, but this is even better :)

Not like I would had gotten it any way, why not 120hz, it would had been perfect for 3D vision 2 on it. Tho I would need to win the lotto before i ever able to afford it.

I'm currently gaming at 4k but only just at 60fps . I'm excited about this monitor as I'll be able to get much more frames per second and see the different literally and figuratively. You get more value, gaming at 4k isn't worth it even with a 28inch trust me ... Too small.

As for price, sure it's expensive but hey it's worth it for the bleeding edge. I'm definitely snapping one up asap.
