Acer adds 2560x1440 IPS BE270U monitor

Acer has released a new WQHD monitor to its line-up. The BE270U is a 27-Inch WQHD screen, which would be the very popular gamers 2560x1440 resolution, in combo with an IPS panel.

The monitor comes with a thin bezel design dubbed as ZeroFrame. The in-plane switching (IPS) technology panel has a maximum refresh rate of 75hz with a rated 6ms response time. The BE270U offers a nice 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, Adobe RGB values are not listed though.

Brightness is listed at a very normal 350 cd/m2 with, lacking however are the static (native) contrast ratio values. Connectivity wise you are looking at 2x HDMI (MHL), 1x DisplayPort and 1x Mini DisplayPort. Also present is a  4-port USB 3.0 hub and a 3.5mm audio jack. The monitor has two 2w (stereo) speakers. Movement wise you may change height, swivel and tilt. If you remove the standa you will access VESA mounting 100x100 support.

The BE270U should cost roughly $489 and here in the EU I spotted it already at 449 euros . The official product page for this monitor is available.

Considering that you can buy surprisingly good PLS 1080p screens for ~150 € (that can do 75Hz) I don't see why this wouldn't be decent.
