3DMark Time Spy - DirectX 12 trailer and screenshots

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/24/2016 07:58 AM | source: | 105 comment(s)

Since 1998 gamers have turned to 3DMark benchmarks to see the latest advances in real-time graphics made possible with each new version of DirectX. That's why today Futuremark is excited to share the first official trailer and screenshots from 3DMark Time Spy, the new DirectX 12 benchmark test.

Time Spy is a new DirectX 12 benchmark test, coming soon to all Windows editions of 3DMark. With its pure DirectX 12 engine, built from the ground up to support new features like asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter, and multi-threading, Time Spy is the ideal benchmark for testing the DirectX 12 performance of the latest graphics cards.

Developed with input from AMD, Intel, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and the other members of the Futuremark Benchmark Development Program, Time Spy shows the exciting potential of low-level, low-overhead APIs like DirectX 12.

Impressive.

About time to replace Ashes of Singularity with proper DX12 benchmarking tool.

Damn that looks awesome, very impressive!

So cool that we will finally have a proper/native DX12 benchmark app with all the trimmings.

I really want to see the nums/results from all the new GPUs compared to last gens, should be interesting.

Very cool, thanks for the article.

Wonder if those little scenes from the old dx11 benchies are
as detailed as the real ones, now that would be some next lvl stuff.

I love how it fades over from firestrike to the new one. :)
I simply can't wait to torture my future hardware now. ;)
