2nd Generation AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X Now Available

AMD announced that the Gen2 AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, with 16-cores and 32-threads, is now available for purchase. At $899, the Ryzen Threadripper 2950X delivers up to 41 percent more multi-threaded performance than the Core i9-7900X.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper “X” series is designed for prosumers, enthusiasts, and multitasking gamers, and now with 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, AMD ups the ante with significant technology advancements and higher clockspeeds than ever before. Not only that, but the incredible X399 platform – the only solution for users who need the most I/O and exclusive ECC memory support on desktop – gets even better with StoreMI storage acceleration technology.

We have a review available on this processor, right here.

You guys dunno how good you have it, a 1950X goes for about 870 USD here (converted from local $), no price listing for the 2950X though, guess it's not here yet.

Really? How much are you selling yours for? I see a lot of peeps selling off their GTX1070Ti/GTX1080/GTX1080Ti in my neck of the woods for a fair bit of discount, so tempted to build myself a kickbutt rig......even though I'd be using last gen parts.
