Micron Technology has announced the Micron 5400 SSD family of SATA3.0 (6Gbps) SSDs for data centers, which employ 176-layer TLC NAND flash.

MTTF, a product developed as an alternative to high-speed HDDs in the 10,000 rpm class, has reached 3 million hours, the industry's highest class. It outperforms competitive SSDs by around 50%, and stable operation may be expected for a long time.

The product portfolio is "5400 Boot" (240GB) for 1DPWD boot drive, "5400 PRO" for 1.5DWPD (7.68TB only 0.6DWPD) read centralized processing (240GB / 480GB / 960GB / 1.92TB / 3.84TB / 7.68TB), 5DWPD (3.84TB only 3.4DWPD) 3 series of "5400 MAX" (480GB / 960GB / 1.92TB / 3.84TB)

Transfer speeds of up to 540MB/sec for sequential reading, 520MB/sec for writing, 95,000 IOPS for random reading, and 65,000 IOPS for writing are possible. The form factor is 2.5 inches with a thickness of 7 mm, M.2 2280, an operating temperature range of 0 to 70 ° C, and a 5-year warranty.
