FSP Dagger Pro (850W PSU) review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 06/28/2022 09:13 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]

Today we’re putting the FSP DAGGER PRO 850 W power supply on our test bench. We recently have tester their 1200 W ATX unit. Besides the PSUs, they also make some chassis and the UPSes. The series was introduced at the end of August ’21, so it’s less than a year on the market. This fact shouldn’t make it obsolete yet, as a revolution will happen in the coming months due to the implementation of the PCI-Express 5.0 generation’s power connector.

Guru3D NVMe Thermal Test - the heatsink vs. performance

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 06/21/2022 11:37 AM [ 18 comment(s) ]

We conducted two Thermal Paste roundups, the first in 2019 and the second in 2021. Why not try something else and investigate the temperature influence of other PC components outside the CPU/GPU? Perhaps it would be worthwhile to test the radiator's slash heatsink impact on NVMe drive performance.

Today, we are reviewing an AIO cooler from Alphacool; it’s an Eisbaer Aurora 360 HPE. We already had a chance to check its predecessor, the Eisbaer Aurora 360, back in 2020 (and it earned the “Recommended” award) and the Extreme Black edition of Eisbaer at the end of 2019 (and it was awarded the “Top Pick” badge). How will the new one perform?

Hyte Y60 chassis review 4

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 06/02/2022 01:31 PM [ 7 comment(s) ]

This time, we're checking out the Hyte Y60, a mainly aesthetic-oriented mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis. It's not the first product from this American (precisely – California) company. They have debuted with an ITX case called Revolt 3, which gained good opinions around the websites. Additionally, they're planning to release a keyboard and a wireless headset, but that's still to come. Ok, let's get back to the Hyte Y60.

ASUS ROG Thor 1000W Platinum II (1000W PSU) review 5

Today we’re putting the new Asus ROG THOR 1000W PLATINUM II power supply on our test bench. The company is not so much known from their PSUs (as they’re rather associated with the motherboards, graphic cards, monitors, or peripherals). Still, we had a chance to check the first Thor at the end of 2018, when the 1200W version was reviewed (priced 329 EUR/USD), earning the “Best Hardware” award. Will the new version be as successful?

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 WIFI6E router review 4

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/27/2022 12:10 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

We take a look at the gargantuan ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 gaming router, which supports the new 6 GHz frequency, also known as WIFI 6E. However, there is no need to be concerned since it is also compatible with 5G AX/AC and 2.4G lower bands. The GT-AX11000 has an alien appearance, but it is crammed with functions and should deliver excellent wired and wireless performance. ASUS's triple-band Wi-Fi router is also equipped with a quad-core CPU.

It's quite late to the market, but AMD recently released the non-X SKUs of several processors. Today we look at the AMD Ryzen 5 5600. The processor has a locked multiplier but still is configured at 6 cores and 12 threads. With a base clock of 3.50 and boost speeds up to 4.40GHz, this boxed processor is just 199 EUR, and could be a really good deal for a nice gaming rig.

We're putting the new FSP HYDRO PTM PRO 1200W power supply through its paces today. The company is most known for its power supply units, although it also manufactures chassis and UPSes.
