Download the Nvidia GeForce 456.71 hotfix driver, as released by NVIDIA. This release fixes issues black screen and GSYNC, Fortnite crashes with RTX, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling.

Game Ready Drivers provide the best possible gaming experience for all major new releases, including Virtual Reality games. Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix is optimized for the best gameplay on day-1. We have a discussion thread open on this driver here in our Nvidia driver discussion forums. For those that wonder, the DCH driver is a Microsoft DCH (Declarative Componentized Hardware supported apps) driver, and refers to a new Windows 10 driver package preinstalled by OEMS implementing the Microsoft Universal Driver paradigm.  While the base core component files remain the same, the way DCH drivers are packaged differs from previous Legacy (Standard) drivers.

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 456.71 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 456.55. The hotfix addresses the following issues:
  • Launching a game in full-screen mode may trigger a black screen on adaptive sync monitors if G-SYNC is enabled
  • [Fortnite] Game may experience a crash when using in-game RTX Shadows/Reflection
  • [Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition] Enabling Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling results in lower frame rate

I don't know why but this beta driver scores way better in benchmarks than the previous whql 456.55 o_O

Why do you call it "beta"?

upd: And why do you think that beta driver can`t bring improvements?

    It's a hotfix, not a beta.

With the 456.71 driver, the "Configure Surround, PhysX" entry in Control Panel (Standard driver) vanished after reboot (it was there before reboot just after driver install) after installing this Driver on my GeForce GTX 1080 (Laptop). On my Desktop with GeForce RTX 2080 Ti it's still there, though.

The problem didn't exist with the 456.55 driver or earlier for me.

Update: It seems this "Configure Surround, PhysX" entry seems to be vanishing after some reboots for me and re-appears after other reboots. It's really odd. Has anybody else experienced this?
