Just installed 10 FCU (16299.19). Scaling working fine for me. Have you selected GPU for scaling and 'over-ride the scaling mode set by games and programs'?

Out of curiosity, what problem does gpu scaling fix for you? Mine is set to display and I don't see any problems. Is this a monitor issue or is there another reason to change it?

Yes I have that selected, but whether or not I do, it seems to override anyway, until a reboot where 2D games fail to scale (behaves neither like GPU nor monitor scaling, and is stuck at the lowest res) at all even if monitor scaling is selected again. Setting it to monitor scaling and rebooting resets the entire process. So it can be fixed, and GPU scaling can work in 2D games, but requires a reboot every time, unless I remember to change my scaling to monitor every time before I shut down.
It's a monitor issue. My monitor's scaling horribly ugly, it doesn't even seem to render proper square pixels when scaling because the pixels are broken up and screwy looking. I believe this has been an issue on Dell monitors for a while now, at least up to the generation of my current one (U2713H).

It's only in 2D games for me. Works in everything else.
