ATI Catalyst® 5.11 introduces Adaptive Anti-Aliasing support for the ATI Radeon® X1800 and Radeon® X1300. A check box called Enable Adaptive Anti-Aliasing within the 3D option of the Graphics Settings, found in the Catalyst® Control Center. A slider bar is also provided and provides two setting; Performance, or Quality. The slider bar is grayed out when Adaptive Anti-Aliasing is disabled.

Issues Resolved in CATALYST Display Driver Version 5.11

ATI drivers are already optimized for your product from the initial installation.  Installing a new driver is only recommended if you are experiencing issues with your ATI product, including those mentioned below:

  • Doom3: Catalyst® 5.11 resolves an issue where minor display corruption may have been noticed when playing a multiplayer game under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with CrossFire enabled
  • Knights of the Old Republic 2: Task switching between the game and other applications no longer results in the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system rebooting when using an ATI Radeon X800 series product
  • Medal of Honor Pacific Assault: Launching the Catalyst® Control Center and making changes to the 3D color gamma no longer results in the changes not taking effect while playing the game under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. Further details can be found in topic number 737-19789
  • The ATI Software Uninstall Utility is now listed in the Add/Remove programs for the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system. Further details can be found in topic number 737-20559
  • Display corruption may be noticed under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition when the modem is active
  • Mouse pointer corruption that may have been noticed on certain system configurations running the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system when using the ATI Radeon X1800 is now resolved

You must have Microsoft .NET Framework installed prior to downloading and installing the CATALYST Control Center
