AMD Radeon Software Crimson 15.11.1 Hotfix

You can now download the new AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition drivers hotfix release 15.11.1.
AMD released Radeon Software Crimson Edition 15.11.1 Update. This update fixes last weeks release to build 15.11.1 and fixes an important issue with VGA fan speed control that overheated GPUs in certain ROPM conditions. In addition, the driver addresses several game-specific bugs related to Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Call of Duty Black Ops III.
The new driver itself is called "AMD Radeon Software" and has been build from ground up in QT. It's fast in startup, has had a massive GUI change and introduces some new features including stuff from shader caching to DX9 frame pacing enhancements. AMD is committed to release up-to 6 major WHQL driver released per year with interim Beta and Hotfix releases as well.
The AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition contains the following:

After installing I have a problem while playing Fallout 4.Namely,parts of the compass turn invisible for a second or two and then they return to normal,it's nothing big but it definitely wasn't there in 15.11 version.

47C is barely warm...
Not possible...watercooled GPUs have no fan and would not be affected.
Anyone who would knowingly restrict his fan to 20% and then "test" it under load to see if it gets hot is an idiot...
There can be no "final hit" because GPUs for years have been made to shut down long before they might burn out due to temperature.
Sorry, but no chance of that at all. Hasn't been for many years. GPUs will shut down first, before any damage can take place. Your post does not indicate much experience in these matters.
He was being sarcastic. He's saying that there is no way that this driver damaged cards, especially water cooled ones. I'm inclined to agree -- if any cards were actually damaged the card was already on it's way out. The thermal throttling/control will shut the card down long before there is an issue.
It's being completely overplayed by tech media, which is slowly becoming the norm.
