IKR, everyone tells me "update your drivers for improved performance" I tell them that the new drivers only give better performance to the newer cards or they would say what cards get performance boosts. the drivers dont universally improve performance on any and all cards. just the newer ones. They stopped updating pre-Polaris cards such as R9 380, 380x, 270, 270x, 280, 280X, and so on.
I like that amd now in changelog provides also hardware specification and setting at which they measured performance gains, that's really informative. For my R9 380 this driver maybe will do absolutely nothing but i still update just to keep up with latest version.

That's actually good to know.

Not really.
Previous drivers game me a boost in frames in PUBG (around 5% more vs previous drivers), yet, the gains where meant for RX 580.
Same with my friend, who has a R9 390X.
