Hey folks,
I'm using an older card as you can see from my specs, well an older system tbh. I haven't upgraded from the WDDM v1.1 drivers as everything was working fine. I have now come up against a few problems with some games which look as though a driver install may be the best fix.
My question is: should I install these drivers for my 4870 card on W8 pro? I don't want to go down the road of multiple driver cleaners and .Net installs and all that carry on, as I had that in the past with troublesome CCC install on Vista.
Has anyone used these drivers without any issues on an older ATI card?
Unfortunately. These drivers do no contain any support for legacy Users. The only driver that currently contains support for Users using Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 is the 12.11 Modded Legacy driver. Currently the latest stable build for HD 2000 to HD 4000 Users is HotFix 10 P6 V11.7 which can be found Here.
