ASRock X670E Steel Legend review

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 12/02/2022 12:31 PM [ 34 comment(s) ]

Meet the ASRock X670E Steel Legend motherboard. It’s a mid-tier motherboard (from a series that we had a chance to check with Z690 or B550 chipset) but with a high-end AM5 chipset. The “E” in the X670E indicates that the board needs to have at least one PCI5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot.

Meet the ASRock Z690 Taichi motherboard. This product is from a series that already appeared using the Z590 chipset, which we’ve reviewed not long ago. When looking at the overall specs, the Asrock Z690 Taichi isn’t much different from the predecessor, which would explain such a price difference.

ASRock Z590 Taichi review 5

Posted by: Krzysztof Hukalowicz on: 06/16/2021 02:54 PM [ 2 comment(s) ]

Meet the Asrock Z590 Taichi motherboard. This product from the already well-known series (Taichi means Chinese martial art) focuses on bringing many features at a reasonable price. Well, it was like that till now. Why’s that? There’s about a 30 USD premium over the predecessor, the Asrock Z490 Taichi, an improved appearance, and a great-looking moving gear feature. This board targets the upper mid-tier/high-end range of the market (with a price of 459.99 USD).

Meet the Asrock Z590 PG Velocita motherboard. This is a product from the Phantom Gaming range, which includes the Phantom Gaming 4 mATX , the 4/ac, and the Phantom Gaming ITX boards. Asrock has also the Taichi, Extreme, Steel Legend, and Pro series, so you can choose whichever tier suits you. The PG Velocita is a higher-end product line within the Phantom Gaming family. “Velocità” is Italian for “Velocity”, and here it’s supposed to tell you that this is the top product in the PG range.

Priced at just over 200 bucks, meet one of the smaller B550 Chipset based motherboards we review, the Mini-ITX based B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax review, at 17x17cm AROCK loaded this B550 motherboard with some good features including dual M2 slots, 2.5 GigE Ethernet, AX WIFI and a pleasantly devised VRM. Well, simply put it's nearly a huge motherboard at a mini size.

Meet the ASRock B550 Steel Legend motherboard. This series from ASRock is meant to give users great stability, a boatload of features, and an attractive design, all while keeping the price quite low. This is a 30.5 x 24.4 cm ATX factor product (there’s also an mATX version available) equipped with a B550 chipset, and it offers such features as 14-phase power design, 2.5-gigabit ethernet at about 180 USD.

ASRock TRX40 Creator review 4

Where all other TRX40 motherboards with the luxurious options sell at 800~1000 USD even, ASRock outs their TRX40 Creator, and the price is 499 USD. A heck of a lot of money, but features wise you still receive AX WOFO and 10 Gbps Ethernet. Worth it?

If you want an X58 based platform and want to enjoy USB 3.0 and SATA3 6G, there really are no affordable alternatives on the market, until now that is. ASRock has released a new X58 motherboard. It's loaded with extra features yet comes with SATA3 and USB 3.0. It is up-to date, has some nice extras, and get this... will cost only 165 EUR or roughly 189 USD. That price alone sparked my interest for sure as this board would need to really blow if it's not worth that money. So today we'll have a look at the more budget conscious ASRock X58 Extreme3 motherboard. Read article
