Corsair H80i GT review 3

In this review we test the Corsair H80i GT Hydro Series Liquid cooler. This newly introduced processor cooler is compatible with Corsair's LINK software. This allows you to program, customize and monitor this all-in-one liquid cooling solution for your processor. Armed with two 120mm fans in a push-pull configuration and a nice extra thick 120mm radiator; the performance should be pretty okay. All that and you get configurable RGB lightning as well.

Nice review and interesting that you got Corsair Link to work. I still have issues with my version, it displays 0 degrees on some measurement modules on my H110i GT.

Not a single picture of how that thing is supposed to be mounted in a case.

Wow very nice results. I am impressed how this cooler can get within 2 degrees of an standard h110.

Corsair said it is working on new firmwares along with a new Link software update.

I actually had no problems with the newest Link and my H80i GT either. Maybe the issue is related to if you have a CoolIt or Asetek based design? The new GT line is using both depending which one you buy. Seems like more people are having issues with the CoolIt ones. Coincidence? The CoolIt one also got the initial recall due to leaking coolant during shipping.

They tested outside a case which would have saved them time. Really the best reviews for coolers in my opinion are done in a closed case as this is how most people will use the product and allows for more accurate testing in terms of comparisons.

That's good news, I hope they hurry up.

How do I know which design I have? I read about the initial recall but my unit was fine when I unpacked it (no leaks). I had a dialogue with a Corsair guy on another forum who said that unless the plastic bag wrapped around the unit showed signs of leakage, the unit was fine so maybe I got the Asetek one. Still weird why they would have two revisions.
