Razer Leviathan V2 gaming soundbar review

Today, have a look at the Razer Leviathan V2 gaming soundbar kit, which comes with a slick sub, a soundbar, and a highly useful software suite. In terms of audio quality, it really impressed us. Razer has announced the elegant new Leviathan V2 gaming soundbar, which improves your PC setup in every way conceivable thanks to a multi-driver PC sound system and a subwoofer that supports THX Spatial Audio and Razer Chroma RGB. When connected to the PC through USB you'll really immerse yourself in sound, also it can connect over a Bluetooth connection to the PC.  Razer's built-in "Razer Chroma RGB" may illuminate your desktop. The Razer software "Razer Synapse" can be handled by hand actions such as audio adjustments. The driver includes a full-range speaker, tweeter, passive radiator, and 45Hz to 20kHz subwoofer. 500 mm wide, 91.3 mm deep, 84 mm high, and 1.4 kg weight. The subwoofer is 220 mm wide, 220 mm deep, and 241.5 mm tall. Additional key features of the Leviathan V2 gaming soundbar include:

  • Multi-driver PC Soundbar and Subwoofer for crisp clear trebles and deep, punchy bass
  • THX Spatial Audio for wide, true-to-life soundstage
  • Compact Desktop Form Factor for room-filling sound and minimal footprint
  • Bluetooth 5.2 for seamless PC and mobile connection
  • Powered by Razer Chroma RGB for greater customization and immersion
  • Razer mobile apps and Razer Synapse for a truly personalized experience

The soundbar delivers spatial sound using THX technology, in our option, it's best left disabled though as you'll wanna tweak it through an EQ. Fun fact, Razer purchased THX in 2016 and has increasingly relied on its own product certification since then. Leviathan V2 also uses 18 lighting zones for Razer Chroma RGB, each of which can be individually controlled and given patterns or dynamic lighting effects in the game. Bluetooth 5.2 allows external devices, such as smartphones, to wirelessly connect and play content through the speaker. Razer's low-latency soundbar should allow for a 60-ms lag between visual and sound - generally 180 ms.

Device type Soundbar, 2.1 system
Frequency Range 45 Hz – 20,000 Hz
Driver 2x full-range driver, 2x tweeter driver, 2x passive radiator driver, 1x subwoofer driver
Connectors Power connector, USB Type-C, subwoofer connector
Bluetooth Version 5.2
Dimensions Soundbar: 500 mm x 91.3 mm x 84 mm;
Subwoofer: 220 mm x 220 mm x 241.5 mm
Weight Soundbar: 1.4 kg; Subwoofer: 3.0 kg
Special features RGB lighting (Razer Chroma); THX Spatial Audio; headphone quick switching

The soundbar sends PC sound through USB-C to USB-A. On the soundbar's top are volume, power, and Bluetooth controls. 500 x 91.3 x 84 mm, 1.4 kg. In order to better adjust the display beneath the soundbar, the soundbar's feet may be removed. The original Leviathan soundbar has been available for a few years. Razer apparently believed it was past time for an upgrade and revealed the successor. We have tested the soundbar and subwoofer combination and are quite pleased. Let's start up the review, shall we? BTW the Razer Leviathan V2 is now available for 249.99 euros.
