So then, you've read our reference review on the GeForce GTX 280 right. You like that huh; you bad boy? Now say, you just hit the jackpot, a new promotion ... the girlfriend left you .. dog died and you are mentally a little unstable. You might just consider ending up with two of these cards .. well, hey look no further because you've arrived at the most geeky website covering for you whether it is a viable option or not.
Today ladies and gentlemen we'll not spend 650,- USD on a graphics card .. no kind Sir, we'll put down 1300 USD on the table and see what two of these cards can achieve performance wise. Expensive ? Yeah, Stupid ? yeah, ... Guru? Yeah ... kick'ass man.
We live and breathe for this stuff. And before you ask, sure, we'll do a threesome with tree-way SLI as well.
So pretty much today we'll place two cards together in SLI, and then do everything over again with three cards (3-way SLI). What we'll do today is keep it clean and simple, first a little quick intro to SLI gaming and installation. Then nothing fancy or techy; we'll dive just straight into the performance results to see if we can get a smile on our faces bigger than Pamela Anderson's boobs (they get bigger from year to year as well, don't they?).
