EnGenius ECW220S 2x2 Cloud Access Point
Cloud-managed FTW

We take a look at the EnGenius ECS2ECW220S 2x2 Cloud Managed Indoor Wireless Access Point (ECS2ECW220S). This is a very easy to use access point that you can easily integrate into your existing network. It has 802.11ax technologies, such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and spatial reuse, which allows you to enhance the possibilities of Wi-Fi6. We know that MESHes are a hot topic these days, but if you have an ethernet jack elsewhere in the house, you can far more easily increase your WIFI range with an access point.  A wireless access point functions similarly as a router extension. It's an Ethernet-connected device that gives wireless coverage to the surrounding region. You can dramatically increase your network coverage using a router and a collection of access points. However, not all access points are created equal. An access point that is poorly constructed or unsecured might be a big weakness in your network. This is especially terrible news if you're concerned about the security of your network. At the same time, you don't want to go without internet connectivity entirely. Instead, look for a wireless access point with enough security measures. Here's where the ECW220S also is a little unique; you can make use of cloud configuration and monitoring at no additional costs. Basically, you plug it in, connect it to the cloud with your smartphone and yoou'll retrieve an incredible amount of options through an easy-to-use web interface. Not only is that helping in ease of use, it also firmware updates itself to keep your hardware safe and stable.

  • Dual concurrent 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 architecture & backward-compatible Supercharged speeds up to 1,200 Mbps (5 GHz) & up to 600 Mbps (2.4 GHz).
  • 1 GbE realizes greater throughput and supports 802.3af & 48V PoE input for flexible installation over 100 meters (328 feet).
  • Wireless security detection and protection by WIDS/WIPS radio.
  • WPA3 & WPA2-AES authentication support.
  • Cloud Managed with AP & Mesh mode.
  • Quick-scan device register & configuration and remote monitoring & troubleshooting.
  • Cloud manages an unlimited number of APs from anywhere with the EnGenius Cloud App.
  • Mesh Wireless Support simplifies setup, optimizes signals & self-heals

Keeping your network safe can be challenging, but what if you are a small business with a smaller network, or a prosumer with a comparable network at home? Keeping track of everything is usually left to one individual, who isn't always an IT specialist. Today we'll look at the ECW220S has 2x2 antenna layout it's non S model is a bit bigger and has a 4x4 configuration.
