Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 3200 MHz 2x8 GB (CL16)

Today we are reviewing Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 16 GB 3200MHz CL16. It is another kit from this Micron subsidiary, following in the footsteps of Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB (32GB) 2666 MHz DDR4 and Ballistix Sport AT Gaming memory (32GB) 3000 MHz DDR4. This time around there’s no RGB lightning or TUF styling. Three color variants are available, Grey (the tested one), White and Red

One note before we begin. This wasn’t a typical kit that consists of two modules (i.e. a dual-channel kit). In fact, we received two separate boxes, each with one RAM stick inside. The 3200 MHz version is the fastest one in the specific series.

Features:

  • Speeds start at 2400 MT/s
  • Faster speeds and responsiveness than standard DDR4 memory
  • Ideal for gamers and performance enthusiasts
  • Multi-channel memory architecture maximizes data rates
  • Digital camo heat spreader available in white, gray and red
  • Easy plug-and-play installation
  • Intel XMP 2.0 profiles for easy configuration
  • AMD Ryzen Ready
  • Optimized for the latest Intel 300 Series platforms
  • Limited lifetime warranty

  Characteristics:

Warranty: Limited Lifetime

Series: Ballistix Sport

Form Factor: UDIMM

Total Capacity: 8GB

Specs: DDR4 PC4-25600 • 16-18-18 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR4-3200 • 1.35V • 2048Meg x 64

Speed: 3200 MT/S

DIMM Type: Unbuffered

ECC: NON-ECC

Voltage: 1.35V

The kit that we’ve received is the fastest one in the Ballistix Sport LT series, but we are (traditionally) still going to try to squeeze something more out of it. Of course, you can always stay on the safe side and stick to the advertised frequency and latencies, using the Intel XMP 2.0 memory profile. The ram is optimized for Intel 300 series motherboards and is AMD Ryzen ready as well. Next page, please.
