Intel has released its flagship desktop processor in the non-HEDT segment. The 9900KS is their most premium Coffee Lake-S eight-core processor that has been discussed so abundantly. This little beast has eight cores, sixteen threads and gets an all-core turbo bin that reaches 5.0 GHz. For many that is gaming nirvana whilst offering a balance of good performance and being a downright excellent gaming processor.

It is time to review that secondary Coffee Lake-S refresh release. In this review we put some blisters on the Core i7 9700K. This is the higher end mainstream processor. With eight cores it is aimed at the Z390 chipset based platform. But is it an interesting enough proc with just 8 threads, as this dawg does have hyper-threading?

Intel released a new six-core processor the Core i5 8600 (non-K model) through our benchmark paces. This proc is again a six-core processor that you will need to seat on a Z370, H370 or B360 chipset based motherboard. While it isn't fitted with hyper-threading, it might, however, be one sweet gaming processor with its low 65W TDP, a 3.1 GHz base-clock and an all-core turbo of 4.1 GHz.

We review the AMD FX 8320E processor today. It's Vishera time again, and yeah that is the codename for the Piledriver core based FX series processors from AMD. The very affordable (125 EURO / 139 USD) CPU tested today has eight physical CPU cores, it will have a base clock of 3200 MHz, and can Turbo towards 4000. And that makes the FX series a tiny multi-threaded beast. You can read our review right here at Guru3D of course.
