Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/15/2012 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]

We review the Antec 1000W HCP Platinum power supply. tly they submitted their all new HCP (High Current Pro) 1000W power supply. Their gold model has been selling for a year now but is replaced with this version. It was further improved and got a 80 plus Platinum certification, meaning the PSU can pimp and show off its most efficient power supply label available in this bizz.

ASUS GTX 580 Matrix Platinum review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/14/2011 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
We received that big'ass Republic of Gamers (ROG) MATRIX GTX 580 graphics card from ASUS. The Republic of Gamers MATRIX GTX 580 Platinum graphics card is powered by an extensive 19-phase VRM circuitry that draws power from two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors. The card will come with two BIOSes, so should you mess one up you have a failsafe by pressing a button. Something interesting is on-the-fly fan RPM control, check the photo's later on for that feature. Read article

Palit GeForce GTX 560 Sonic Platinum review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/16/2011 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
NVIDIA has been readying a new SKU based on the GF114 GPU: the GeForce GTX 560, yes correct without that 'Ti' extension, it's being released to compete with AMD's Radeon HD 6790 and 6850 series primarily. The GeForce GTX 560 we review comes from Palit, of course they send in their Palit GTX560 Sonic Platinum which offers about 10% performance higher than the non-OC GTX560 straight from the box. Palit GeForce GTX 570 Sonic Platinum review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/13/2010 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Palit launched a GeForce GTX 570 with what the refer to as a mercury design. The name of the product is tagged under their known Sonic Platinum edition series, and as you guys know that guarantees more features and some extra's. The extra's can be found in the customized looks with that very dandy looking dual-fan GPU cooler. Next to that Palit pre-clocked the product at a nice 800 MHz for you on the core, 1600 MHz on the shader domain and even the memory got bumped up towards 4000 MHz (effective). Read article

ASUS Matrix 5870 Platinum ROG review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/16/2010 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Many moons have passed and ATI gave their partners the thumbs up to create little werewolves. See, when it's a full moon the R5870 turns into something geeky, extraordinary, even a bit hairy. Yes the OC editions of the Radeon HD 5870 series were unleashed. As the ASUS ROG team started to design the ASUS Radeon 5870 Matrix Platinum. In all its ways this card needs to be extreme, so we spot a custom PCB, some extraordinary cooling, we see a 2 GB memory size, we spot a standard overclock, but most of all... the card comes with overclocking software that allows voltage tweaking on three domains within the graphics card. What makes this product series so special is that it haves been designed with the ROG team (Republic of Gamers) a small group of enthusiasts within the ASUS campus. Little red colored minions that drink LN2 and taze each other just for fun. They live by one rule only, gain the maximum performance out of a product... and do things right. Read article

Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/10/2005 09:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
ATI launched new products, the really lovely Radeon x800 XL and the x850 XT PE. We finally have both reference products from ATI in our cute little lab which makes us wonder how much samples actually are available, and with that in mind how long it'll take to see them in the stores. Bare in mind, originally the plan was to get them in store before Christmas. This review will handle the Radeon x850 XT PE and next week we'll handle the x800 XL. Read article
