Nvidia Titan X (Pascal) Extended Overclock Guide 5

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 08/09/2016 08:50 AM [ 44 comment(s) ]

Today an article slash guide dedicated on overclocking the Nvidia Titan X (Pascal). Are we able to pass 2000 MHz with the 12 Billion transistors based GPU ? Yes we can, relatively easily even as we even breach 2100 MHz. Armed with a new trick or two overclocking will never be the same though. But if you want another 10% extra performance out of an already seriously fast Nvidia GTX Titan, we'll gladly show you how to do it.

This is a Radeon HD 7870 Overclock Guide. We'll overclock based on a mild voltage tweak. By doing so we drive the R7870 into R7900 series performance. All you need is some free software and a little time to precisely determine and pinpoint your maximum yet stable overclock. Read article

Radeon HD 7950 Overclock Guide 4

We take a Radeon HD 7950 overclock it the normal way and then voltage tweaked. So that way we will demonstrate not one, but two maximum overclock conditions alongside TDP, heat, noise and performance levels.

Overclocking GeForce GTX 470 with extra GPU voltage

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/17/2010 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
A couple of days ago we had a peek at the GeForce GTX 480 and how well it overclocked in combo with a little extra GPU voltage. The results have shown fabulous potential. Of course there's another card, the GeForce GTX 470. Last Friday we finished up an internal build of MSI's AfterBurner 1.6.0 beta 5 and here we where able to successfully implement voltage adjustment for the GTX 470 cards as well. With an additional voltage we where able to push the GPU close to 775 MHz on the core and roughly 1548 MHz on the shader processor domain. Read article

Overclocking GeForce GTX 480 with extra GPU voltage

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/16/2010 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Yesterday we released an update of AfterBurner, we implemented and thus added voltage control for the 470/480 cards in MSI AfterBurner revision 1.6.0 beta 4 and upwards. Now as you guys probably know the default clock frequency for the GeForce GTX 480 is 700 MHz on the core, 1400 MHz on the shader domain and 3700 MHz on the memory. With an additional voltage we where able to push close to 850 MHz on the core. The first group of people that will really benefit from what we'll show you today are the people that opt a liquid cooled GeForce GTX 470 or 480. Well read the next couple of pages with a step-by-step guide and then we'll show some results based on our overclock experience. Read article

Phenom II X4 Overclocking Master class 5

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 03/28/2010 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
The professional overclocker's scene, and it's a demographic that Guru3D will be following more closely. It's the extreme side of overclocking, yes the guys that use extravagant cooling methods to lift the core frequency to way higher levels. And today we'll be doing exactly that. We'll have our tame race driver 'OldScarface', a Dutch overclocker, tryout the latest revision of the Phenom II 965BE -- the latest stepping with a lower TDP. The objective is to pass 5 or maybe even 6 GHz on this processor. To do so, all he'll need is a couple of liters of Liquid Nitrogen, the right equipment and time... lots of time. Read article

Radeon HD 5970 Overclocking Guide

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/19/2009 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
When the Radeon HD 5970 launched, the product was extremely well received by the hardware enthusiast community. As we stated in our article -- the product is clocked a little conservative though. We boosted the Radeon HD 5970 Core from 725 MHz towards 935 MHz and the 4000 MHz memory is running and purring steady at 5240 MHz --- and that's a baffling result on just the reference air-cooler. Wanna learn how we do it ? Read article

Overclocking the Radeon HD 4890

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/03/2009 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
This week the Radeon HD 4890 was released and as our reference article showed, it has a lot of overclocking potential, really it has a lot of headroom there which could results in 10% better performance on average. Typically overclocking can be managed really well through the Catalyst control center, however .. the control center always has certain restriction as in 'how much' you can actually overclock. In this article we'll show you how you can overclock the easy way, with the help of Rivatuner, followed with a couple of performance results as well. Read article
