G.Skill Sniper 8GB CL7 DDR3 memory review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 06/05/2011 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
G.Skill designed another 8GB low voltage DDR3 kit (2x 4GB) that can be set at 1600 MHz yet still run a CAS latency of 7. And that is truly interesting because the denser the ICs get, the higher latency typically gets. Read article

G.Skill DDR3 2200 MHz C7 PI memory review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/20/2009 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Some Memory vendors felt the need to go really extreme, and GSkill did exactly that. 2200 MHZ at CAS 7:10:10:28 1T at low voltage (1.65v). Seriously, it's one of the few memory kits we have seen we consider to be extremely uber cool. Powered by Elpida Hyper ICs G.Skill certainly tries to make a difference. Read article

We test a 6GB DDR3 memory kit rated at 1600 MHz from the good people at G.Skill. A company that many of you don't even know, yet have been around for over 18-years. G.Skill is expanding into the European and US market though and their presence is becoming larger and more apparent quickly. Read article

OCZ ATV Turbo 4GB memory stick

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 11/26/2007 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Okay sarcasm aside, we really don't have a real need for water-proof sticks, but OCZ just launched a new memory stick which is exactly that. Now on a rainy day, knowing that your flash-media is secure and protected enough is quite a good thing. Let me quickly explain to you the stuff that really matters though. This is a 4 GB model which comes with a water-proof and shock resistant design. It should be pretty fast bugger of a memory stick though as it's rated at READ speeds ranging in the 33/35 MB/sec and comes with write speeds of 26-30MB/sec. Read article

The product is fully compliant with both the SD and microSD standard. In addition to that, as stated, it also has a USB-connector which means that you don't need any card reader in order to get data on or off the card. Quite handy if you are on the go and don't have time to mess around with a card reader as it's USB compatible. Read article

Geil ONE Series memory

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/12/2005 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
It's Thursday, a package comes in. I notice it's from Geil. Once opened I immediately notice a couple of things, the first being the class A packaging .. Spartan in all it's ways but hey .. there's no way you can damage the memory as the packaging is made of pure plexi-glass. The second thing you'll notice is the pure beauty of the Geil memory modules. Funky heatspreader with brushed tin coated copper finish and hey .. you'll immediately realize that Geil is manufacturing memory for the enthusiast audience. Today's memory is no different as once you observe the sticker I went like .. how on earth am I going to test that ? Today's memory can handle a CAS latency of 1.5 ... Read article
