Wireless Graphics card - KFA2 GTX 460 WDHI review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/13/2011 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
One innovative product that dropped like a bomb into the market a couple of weeks ago is the KFA2/Galaxy GeForce GTX 460 WHDI with the card transmitting a wireless signal to your HDTV. An idea that originates from Intel actually, as they also have WHDI solutions these days. But think about it .. a graphics card with no monitor connectors attached to it, yet when you look at the HDTV you see your desktop in 1920x1080P perfectly clear and fine, ... all transmitted through the air. The concept surely is miraculous and even weirder, it works surprisingly well ! Read article

Last week Codemasters released a two level playable demo allowing you to play the game on both DX9 and DX11 (if you have a Radeon HD series 5000 card that is). Also integrated is a benchmark mode, very handy. Now we'll not be using the standard benchmark yet our own scripted test run in the Ensenada Port circuit set in Baja California level where we can drive through sand, mud and water to measure the most prominent DX11 features like DX11 Hardware tessellation, Geometry instancing and displacement mapping -- plus obviously more complex shader usage. let's go check out both the DX9 and DX11 image quality and performance. Amilo SA3650 laptop with Graphics Booster tested - A common problem with a laptop is that they are not really designed for gaming aren't they ? And sure there are some solutions out there with a more mainstream embedded GPU, yet often that is completely unaffordable, let alone upgradeable. With the help of AMD XGP it is now possible to connect an external graphcis card, next to the laptop. Therefore a small insight into the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo SA3650 Laptop with XGP Graphic Booster.
