The Gigabyte Z77MX D3H TH is intended for Intel's 22nm Ivy Bridge processors released moments ago based on Socket LGA1155 however the motherboard also supports Sandy Bridge processors like the Core i7 2600K. This particular motherboard is mATX based and thus has a very small footprint. That doesn't mean though that there is a lot of power harbored in it, contrary it performs really well and even can overclock pretty good. Not bad for a 135 EUR motherboard eh ? The factory overclocked product has a whopping three slot design and comes packed with five fans blowing air through a huge aluminum fin area that is covered with a metal cover to optimize the overall airflow. An Anti-turbulence cooler features nine 6mm copper heatpipes leading to a massive vapor chamber cooler. Tied to the cooler are industrial quality fans, five of them creating airflow that I know and have seen in servers.

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/22/2012 03:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
We test the Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 OC (WindForce) edition. It's a fully fetched R7970 on a customized PCB, it comes factory overclocked for you and next to that they applied their popular WindForce cooler, the one that has a cool number of three active fans. The results are pretty impressive as you'll find out, that factory overclock is boils down to a default clock frequency of 1000 MHz on the GPU core. Next to that the WindForce cooler is able to keep the product under 65 Degrees C, and that's under full load and stress. Read article

Gigabyte peeked at the NVIDIA reference GeForce GTX 580, then took the GeForce GTX 580 GPU, and threw the rest away. Gigabyte G1.Sniper X58 review

We review the G.1Sniper motherboard from Gigabytes Killer series. With good looks, excellent performance, great overclockability and then in addition to it all extra's, adding a SATA 6G controller, USB 3.0, but also the BigFoot KillerNIC has been integrated into this motherboard, and Realtek audio ? Heck it's been kicked out. There's actually a fully fetched Creative Labs X-Fi (20K2) DSP mounted into the motherboard to bring better audio capability into your PC. All in all it's a very impressive motherboard not only features wise, yet also in terms of sheer design. Read article
