Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/28/2013 09:03 AM [ 4 comment(s) ]

We review the PC Power and Cooling MK III Silencer 750 Watt review from OCZ technology. The Silencer Mk III series are all about being quiet, being awesome and very efficient and again, the PSU as tested today carries a Gold certification. The PSU also improved on the audibility front as it comes with a switch, enabled it and up-to 350 Watt the fan will remain disabled and at that load your PSU merely lukewarm. The 750 PSU is lovely in performance, the one massive 62A 12-volts rails says it all really. Excellent for multi-GPU solutions and hardcore overclockers. The PSU is engineered with merely premium components, including Japanese 105°C capacitors and heavy-duty protection circuitry's.

Arctic Accelero Hybrid 7970 Liquid Cooling System review 4

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/26/2012 10:29 AM [ 17 comment(s) ]

We review the Accelero Hybrid 7970 Liquid Cooling System from Arctic. This cooling solution for the Radeon HD 7970 offers both liquid-cooling for the GPU as well as silent active cooling for the VRM zone of the graphics card. If we can believe the numbers then the solution should offer great cooling performance versus excellent noise levels. That's right up our alley alright.

PC Power and Cooling Silencer MkII 750W PSU review 3

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/13/2012 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
The new model PC Power & Cooling power supply is their Silencer Mk II series of PSU's. It's the 'bloke' PSU series again with a simple design, and hey -- nothing is modular so the PSU certainly is a squid inside your system with all the tentacles (wires), but yeah .. lots of you don't really care about cable management, they just want the best of the best and sure ...as you'll learn you can't really complain about the essence that is the Mk II Silence 750W power supply. Here at Guru3D we've continuously been stating that the true aficionados will opt for water-cooling for this product, and we always put our money where our mouth is, thus had to bring you at least one review on a liquid-cooled GeForce GTX 480. The folks at Danger Den shipped out their most shiny nickel plated GTX 480 cooling block, and we will put that to the test. We'll have a look at the product, the installation, temperatures before and after, we'll overclock and yea... thus look at power consumption as well. Read article

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910 PSU review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/19/2009 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Here we test the Silencer 910. PC Power and cooling creates the best of the best among power supplies, they however keep their design simple. No multiple 12 Volts rails, no Sir, it all comes from one single rail, apparently more robust and efficient. Cable management ? Ehm, no Sir, all cables are connected as modability would have an effect on overall efficiency here as well. A near kilowatt power supply with an efficiency that is bloody fantastic at roughly 88% Read article

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/17/2009 02:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
BFG is the first to bring a liquid-cooled GeForce GTX 295 to the market. As extravagant liquid cooling a GeForce GTX 295 really is, the end results in cooling performance, gaming performance and the incredible aesthetics a product like this offers is extraordinary. So in this article we'll chat a little about the GTX 295 technology, then have a look at BFG's bundle, a really extensive photo-shoot, look at performance with the hottest games available, overclock it until it nearly dies... and then sum it all up in our verdict. A test on the CoolerMaster Aquagate MAX. This system is designed to be used inside your computer case for a completely self-contained system. If you are looking for a liquid cooling system to use for your performance computer the Cooler Master Aquagate Max may be just what you need. Dual 1200mm radiator, excellent looking reservoir and 400 liter/h pump, nice thick tubing and a very glossy water-block. A very interesting fact is .. it's not very expensive. Read article

In the past we have tested a good number of items from them already. Among them the really awesone Reserator water-cooling products. Recently they released a new model of that Reserator cooler namely the Reserator XT. he trick about this incredibly sexy product is that thanks to a low-noise fan we can now push more performance out of their water-cooling product. So here at Guru3D we figured .. hmm, why not test the Reserator XT with a high-end system. Read article

3D Galaxy II & Blue Eye Water cooling review 1

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 10/26/2006 01:00 PM [ 0 comment(s) ]
As you guys know by now water-cooling is one of the most efficient ways of cooling down a CPU. And it's not just efficient, it's usually very quiet to the ears and it can look fantastic in a system. What we'll be testing today is a water-cooling kit called 3D Galaxy II (GH-WIU02) and additionally to that kit something called the Blue Eye, which is water block for graphics cards that you can buy optionally with this kit. Corsair Nautilus 500 Watercooling review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 07/26/2006 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
Targeted at the mainstream consumer Corsair now offers a complete easy to install and most of all relatively cheap water-cooling kit that can draw a lot of wattage/heat from your processor (or optional GPU). The paramount feature is that this kit is "all" about the external cooling unit that you can place anywhere, a small external box that harbors the radiator, pump and water reservoir all in one. With a MSRP of $159 this kit just became extremely interesting for the mainstream users out there. Read article

Asetek VapoChill LS review (sub-zero cooling)

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 07/19/2006 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
To go way beyond a normal overclock .. you need to cool that CPU below zero degrees C and that's where the Asetek LS comes in. It's the most expensive and noisiest cooling solution around. It's difficult to install as you'll need to mod your case, you'll have to do crazy stuff with your CPU ... but the result really is simple, you can cool down the processor with a -54 Degrees C cooling blockĀ on that AMD heatspreader and that my friends is such a fun experience you won't believe it. The AquaBox (passive watercooling)

Aquapark my friends offer a kit called the AquaBox. This is a passively water cooling cooling kit with everything you need. Interesting ? of course it is. let's talk a little about cooling and then startup a big photo session on everything that we did with this kit as it isn't just about cooling, it's also about aesthetics, you'll get UV reactive peripherals, UV reactive water, and a blacklight to make it all light up like a Christmas tree. Asetek Waterchill Watercooling

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 02/28/2005 08:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]
These Pentium 4 CPUs these days are getting rather hot. Why not watercool it ? The kit we received from Asetek is pretty much their best kit. It's called the KT12AT-L30/220V/Dual Radiator Socket LGA755 kit, a CPU/VGA/Chipset kit. We opted the version with thick 1/2" tubing for optimal flow. Next to that the kit has the heavy Hydor L30-II included, a pump that can push 1200 liters of water per hour. Read article

With that in mind the Taiwan based guys from Evercool released version 202 of a very innovative watercooling kit. The kit is a self-contained water-cooling setup that should offer efficient cooling with very low noise. Read article

To get me over that weird idea of water in a PC I figured, what the hell ... if you fall of a bike you need to get back on it right. With that approach I've been in dialog with Asetek. Asetek ladies and gentlemen is as stated a very reputable company in cooling material. Luckily for me they recently released their WaterChill Antarctica CPU+VGA kit. Read article
