XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT (14Gbps) THICC II Pro review 5

We test and review the new XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC 2 Pro, no-no you're not having a Deja-Vu, this round we test the new 14 Gbps GDDR6 clocked version. This Radeon RX 5600 XT Pro revision is basically an RX 5700 however with 6GB of GDDR6 and lower clock frequencies. XFX gas a 12 Gbps and 14 Gbps GDDR6 SKU, this is the new a specific 14 Gbps SKU.

Thanks Hilbert for the reviews.
Don't you agree with me that hardware performance reviews should use newer games that what you're using?
BFV is a dead game, Far Cry New Dawn is old now, how many players play Exodus?
Titles as COD MW 2019 for example is much more played game, maybe Forza too? But your list is getting old
Thanks

The games tested still tax hardware and are good representations of performance to expect. BFV is not an easy game on hardware still when you get into higher resolutions and post processing.

Games' date is not a proper variable. Reviews are about a wide spectrum of titles with taxing graphics and future-proof tech. Also, do not forget sometimes there are licence limitations plus headaches for the reviewer, more time consumption. Reviews give you a glimpse of the relative performance. For specific titles you can make the math (by calculating percentages) .

Unfortunately, not all games are well suited for consistent benchmarking or have save points that start-up (spawn) in exactly the same scenery, COD, for example, never outs the same results when you measure performance. I am continuously on the lookout for games that can be added and replace older ones. However, they need to be reliable and consistent.

Also, I face the fact that one reader wants this, the other wants that. You mention adding new games, but then mention Forza, which is from 2018 I think? So that's a personal preference for what you like to see (and there's nothing wrong with that of course). At one point I removed the Witcher III from the test suite, which upset some readers. So we keep including it. That's the same with BF-V, until that game is replaced with BF-VI we'll keep including it. A review gives you a representation of performance where I try to mix old, new, and some GPU demanding titles (like Exodus).

Interesting to see the F1 2018 benchmarks, as I've just grabbed that free copy of the game through humblebundle and tested my ASUS ROG Strix RX VEGA56 OC edition 8GB with the exact same settings at 1080p and 1440p. My card is configured as follows:

1. Undervoltaged
2. Power limit +50%
3. Custom fan profile

Everything else is stock. With this setup, my Vega 56 sits between a 5600XT and a 5700 in terms of performance in Formula 1 2018 so it punches a good 14% higher than the Vega 56 mentioned in the tables in this particular title.
