Today we are going to review memory modules from TwinMOS, a dual channel kit with in it 2x256MB DDR PC3200 memory. The modules are based on the DDR400 specification is getting very popular. Almost all current mainboards allow a higher than 333 and 400MHz DDR frequency. DDR-400 memory is mainstream the tide has slowly shifting towards these modules and well, today's PC's can use that extra memory bandwidth to be honest. For those of you who still mke use of non-DDR SDRAM , PC3200 DDR is 3 times faster than the PC133 module and 50% more in the data rate when compare against PC2100 DDR. Super stability performance and full loading operation is guaranteed.

TwinMOS has been around ever since I can remember the first DDR module released to the public, in fact my very first DDR module came from TwinMOS. They have a reputation of building quality memory modules and we are now in the position to test just that. Compared to others they are slowly building and settling their reputation with names like Corsair and Kingmax yet with an advantage, their modules are not as expensive. In this test we will make use of a  test system that allows overclocking and memory tweaking from the BIOS. mainboard can handle a DDR:CPU ratio of 2x, 2.5x and 3x. To be able to test this product to it's fullest potential we will need to overclock the PC, and of course we'll do just that. We'll check this product with aggressive BIOS ram timings and enable CAS 2 (Column Address Strobe) latency to see where it halts (this module is CAS3). In this test we will make use of a  test system that allows overclocking and memory tweaking from within the BIOS. The mainboard can handle a DDR:CPU ratio of 2x, 2.5x and 3x. We'll test the sample at both normal and aggressive ram timings.

You see, the trick is to get the optimal combination of hardware and since the 865/875 chipsets support Pentium 4's with 800 MHz FSB and Dual Channel DDR with an extremely fast memory bandwidth the combo is mighty and powerful. The mainboard based on Springdale 865P chipset we are reviewing today comes from Albatron. The mainboard is called the PX865PE ProII and is a friggin swiss-knife under the mainboards as is has so many options and features. I bet that the engineers who designed this little puppy had a big smile on their faces during the entire development process.
