Strange Brigade: PC graphics performance benchmark review

AMD has added a funny new game towards its software lineup, Strange Brigade is bundled with their selected cards. We wanted to fab a bit of a performance review as the game supports Vulkan, DirectX but also has a DirectX ASync Compute switch available. That all by itself is handy to check out the current state of Vulkan, and DirectX 12.

The game looks rather fun imo. It's a setting that is fairly unique and different then most other games, so that's a big plus for me. Nice performance on a variety of more affordable GPUs too.

Look at the ancient 390X (aka 290X)!!!! And I doubt Guru3d has updated their FuryX/Nano Firmware to their April 2016 AMD official UEFI one.
Which improves performance clock for clock and allows higher overclock also. (1190 for the FuryX).
HOLY S***, look at the Fury X go at 4k. Even then 1080p, 1440p results are really good.

Thank you Hilbert for posting this article. I was particularly appreciative to see the graph on VRAM usage; this is due to the fact that both of my 1080's were using ~ 5,300 to 5,500 MB's while playing this game. I would also like to say that I have been enjoying Strange Brigade.

U do not really need CPU power for games, these are not that complicated tasks (like calculating proteins), U just need something to handle the graphic cards driver according to the performance it is capable of doing and then some for the AI and sound and engine

Thanks for the broad review, Hilbert, that provides such a nice gradation from the 1050 on up. I hope you will add the RTX 2080 and TI to the chart when those results are out.
