Get your head out of your ass, there's nothing innovative about HBM in vega.
Vega 64 is a hot noisy power hog that is as expensive as a 1080ti while being 30-40% slower.
The only moron here is a blatant fanboy who obviously doesn't understand why AMDs gpu division is in the water with vega release and the fact that vega is selling at a loss.
You saying "you feel that innovation is not important to pc development, you are literally a moron" is you pulling words out of your ass because you can't think of any logical comeback.
Clearly i said nothing about innovation not being important.
If you really believe NV is losing marketshare you better look at steam hardware survey. Top 20 is NV not amd

Vega64 is still available for 1080 prices.
I'm not sure where you are looking, but look better.
HBM is the future of High end cards, like it or not.
The vega's are really quite good.
The rumour that even the mainstream Vega's will be HBM too surprises me, but not if you take a look at what the market looked like a year or two ago?
HBM was ramping up, and was due to be available 'en masse', but that didn't turn out good, and neiher did their packaging company, that seems to have overstepped itself capacity wise.
It might not be a full on win, but the cards are selling, which is what AMD needs, to get this over with, and get in with the next gen. and the next-next gen.
All thats left for Vega for AMD, is the Drivers.
I'll bet they are working full steam ahead for the next big games releases, likely the New Order II, which has some poster child effects (16-bit precision, etc...).
AMD is innovating in huge steps at the moment.
Nvidia hasn't been, and is still behind in DX12, in comparison to its DX11 performance.
As far as I understand it, all of Nvidia's current lineup of consumer chips are basically DX11 optimised at the hardware level.
We'll see if i'm right (or wrong
) when more DX11/Vulkan games start showing up for the Holiday period.

Let's not make wild accusations like that. Nvidia drivers have a lower overhead in DX11, which is probably why the difference in CPU scores.
Why not look at Time Spy? It's run in DX12 and should show no variance.

Just had a flash, this Vega looks a lot like 7970 vs GTX 680 (GTX1080) and 1080TI being as 780Ti.
That said 7970 got very close to 780Ti later, I think Vega has more room too, but it should have been here now, not 1-2yrs later when its almost irrelevant.
