There's a new AMD flagship in town, the MSI Radeon RX 6950 XT Gaming X TRIO is blazingly fast. As AMD refreshes its rDNA 2 graphics card portfolio with a new family of cards in 2022, this card series now comes with 18 Gbps memory and even faster clock frequencies.

What if 7600xt costs 479$ and its fast as 6900xt? Then you can bang you head against the wall.

Are we going to see a performance increase at $200 though? We still haven't had a performance increase at that price point, if anything, we've seen reductions in performance (lower vram) and features at that price.... Still 480/580 performance at $200

Exactly, loads of factors, new warrenty and maybe lower running costs but possibley worse performance in older games and greater running costs. Probably the main reason I skip a generation, to see a significant jump in performance, that and that I can't be arsed to mess about with my Waterloop.

And I can't see even a midrange next gen card coming in at that price.

We might never see another new "gaming" GPU as low as $200.

Back in my day,I used to be able to buy a chocolate bar,bag of chips and a pop for 25 cents.
As of today GPU prices have been dropping for months back to 2019/2020 prices. They will not fall back to 2000/2005/2010 prices.

Anyway my local computer shop was selling AMD 6900XT cheaper than 6800XT when I was looking for 6950XT on release.
Personally I will always buy the PC parts for my PC Gaming entertainment, there is always a console for a cheaper gaming experience.
I do want one of these 6950XT,so I will see how far the price drops in the next few weeks.
