Awesome review as always, thanks for the work and effort.

This card looks amazing and it will be the one I get when I upgrade my MSI 980 Ti.

Mmmmmm so good.

The review and some posters are suggesting this is overkill for 1080p but in many games the 1080Ti still shows large improvements over the 1080 at 1080p. High Hz monitors are probably about as common for gaming as 1440/4K displays so I think it would be a useful distinction to make.

I realize CPU and maybe even memory bottlenecks are going to be more common at 1080p, especially with the 4.3GHz 2133MHz test setup but even then, the 1080Ti posts over 20% gains in Sniper Elite, Tomb Raider, Gears of War, Ashes, Watch Dogs, The Division, Resident Evil, The Witcher, and Dishonored and is much closer to hitting a 144fps average versus the 1080.

750-800€ range? Based on the launch of the 1080 this MSI Gaming X (and most top tier cards) should be priced 100€ more than the FE. That's 920€ :leave:

Another use at 1080p is 4K DSR for anti aliasing, looks great, pushes the card hard.
And a 1080ti is extremely useful for VR. Its not all about single screen gaming.
