Is this one of those special reviewer's sample cards that come with 122% power limit - but actual retail cards are only like 109% power limit?

MSI pulled that crap on the 980Ti cards. Review samples had very high power limits, but retail cards did not.
You can do it yourself, mod your power limit and make it what you want, I`m at 120%

MSI pulled that crap on the 980Ti cards. Review samples had very high power limits, but retail cards did not.
They meant the same thing. 122% = 109%, the difference was that one BIOS has lower starting limit. 109% Max version had higher default limit. You can't compare percentages without knowing what it actually means. In this case 100 % did not mean the same thing.

Very few 980 ti go higher than low 1500`s on air, only the best of the best, impressive memory clock though.

HBM can't go over 4GB? I wasn't aware of that. I think I need to do some reading. :D
