MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X PLUS 8G review

We reviewed many GeForce GTX 1080 cards, however a new SKU has been inserted with super fast graphics memory. And being a Gaming X PLUS this is an all custom, tweaked and cooled better product. Let's check out the new 8 GB model from MSI, the GTX 1080 GAMING X PLUS with 11000 MHz clocked memory.

I have a new 9 Gbps 1060 here already and will work on a full review on that one as well.

I have an MSI 1060 Gaming X 6gb so naturally I am curious about the newer card. Too bad they won't let us swap for the newer version but one can wish.

Damn. This thing is fast.
And its powered by mere 314mm2 of silicon die. It does bump TDP a little, but seriously, metrics wise GP104 is the best all-around chip ever.
Imagine if they were selling this GPU in 1060 price bracket... free SLI for everyone! Just turn it off when it doesn't work

Great review as always , and the faster memory has increased performance more than i had expected to be honest .

Would be more interested to see this with GTX 1060, how much it will bump up performance.
