We're downsizing! Read our review of the new the MSI B450i Gaming PLUS AC review, based on the new B450 chipset it is aimed at for Ryzen processors, and in specific the new Ryzen 2000 / Zen+. And with a 17x17cm, mini-ITX form factor this puppy is small, offers value and really has it all.

It's a shame it doesnt have any USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports, and opting to offer USB 2.0 makes this a deal breaker for me unfortunately. I refuse to purchase a board with such an old standard which in my opinion should be already replaced by usb 3.1 Gen 1. Especially on a board with such limited space.

I'm still going for the ROG Strix B450-i when the time comes for my build, i know its got a 50€ premium but better hdmi standard, better usb options plus 2x pci-e m.2 slots is worth it for me. I realise this will differ for others :).

EDIT: Just saw on the product page that the MSI also supports HDMI 2.0 with Ryzen 2000.

My personal main complaint about the B350/450 boards is that they seriously lack that second PCIe slot... but it's a chipset limitation after all. The rest of the board lines up with the competition, some have two PCIe slots, some have WLAN onboard.

Hmm.. a bit offtopic but I guess no motherboard manufactures bothered with X300 model. It looked kinda nice on paper, no needless features, just overclocking and enough functions to work with. Could be interesting to have it as a cheaper option.

Motherboard with single PCI-ex slot for GPU could be a bit limiting if user planning to use m.2 in future. However, speaking for myself I still happy with SSD speed on Sata3.
