Im still in favor getting an 8core even if your gaming only. CPU utilization in some of the newer games are quite high on these 6cores and dont forget that Hillbert review only shows the average framerate.
For a piece of mind and futureproof i would still go with 10700/11700 or 5800x.
Those are twice as expensive. Majority of people in this world can't afford them.

by 10% not twice, not even 10% frankly if 4.7G 10700kf can match it then 10700f w. 4.6G is probably bout the same too.
there's 10700kf that is matching 5800x and costs 290eur
zen3 has really put the prices way higher than people who bought into x570 expected.they may hold onto their placeholder 3600's for good, before 5800x drops down to 300eur where 3800x is now.Or just overpay for a 5600x when you've got 11400f matching it for half price.

PLUS you wont end up on the "General Hardware" asking "Hi, I got a ryzen, my ram dont work. Anyone knows fix?".
oh my,that post will backfire soon
go on and find how difficult people find it to run gear1 if they have higher frequency sticks
some can't get past 3200mhz
