It's 'that' time of year again, when we emerge from the maelstrom that was the end of 2019. This article has been in the works for a fair while but we wanted to wait, see and respond to the developments of AMD, Intel and NVIDIA, the events in Q3/Q4 have led to significant revisions over the course of the last 6 to 8 or so weeks.

" we emerge from the maelstrom that was the end of 2019"

I think you mean " we emerge from the maelstrom that was 2019" - not "the end" since it's not quite the end yet ;)

a few infos about AIO :
- the H115i platinum pro had the TR4 bracket adapter in the box for me, also AM4 I believe so ready for most configs
- the H150i pro doesn't have a TR4 adapter, Corsair "sells" one but it's virtual as they have no stock...I had to order one from...Aliexpress...yep which seems to sell the exact same but from the factory (now I have to wait 1 month...no thanks Corsair, don't advertise products or support for a socket when you don't even sell the adapters)
- I tested both on my 5.1Ghz 9900k H115i (280) and H150i pro (360) temps were roughly the same
- my H115i pro makes a very obvious and annoying pump noise...when mounted on the cpu in the case, not in open bench with the radiator just placed on a table, weird but something to know, I'll report how it does on the 3960x, the pump vibration noise seemed to resonate with something on my Intel build
also curious to see how it'll do with the small contact surface..I spread paste manually over the entire surface tough not like youtubers (except DerBauer heh) that put a drop, line or X and "believe" it'll spread over the entire plate, don't do that, it never does.

On asetek designs (pump) it usually means its a bad pump, since you didn't hear outside might not be the case.
Try the liquid metal.
Helps a lot on hot cpus with small surface area like ryzen/tr and the like.
One small drop, then spread it with something like a napkin from places like chipotle or finger (glove) until it covers the whole HS and has a glossy chrome like shine to it.

I don't like the Tomahawk max because it's ATX so i guess it just fine to go with the Mortar max then.
