For a tenner or two more you can purchase the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming 'OC edition' from Gigabyte, a product with more a triple fan cooler as well being factory tweaked towards an 1860 MHz boost frequency. Based on dual fans and improved looks the card performs well on all fronts, including cooling acoustic levels.

Yeah good luck finding a Vega 56 with the 3 free games at a decent price and decent quality. Just look at these great reviews! https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814932030
The Vega's are total crap and they're more expensive than a 1660 Ti.
Well in the us maybey, in europe the nvidia's are more expensive, and mine works fine ty, undervolted it runs @ 61C and 1537mhz with 180w, eventhough its just a cheap gigabyte one

Did i mention Bf 1 somewhere?
Well in Battlefield 1, Vega 56 is behind the 1660ti in every resolution except 4k.
Did i mention Bf 1 somewhere?

Am I the only one bothered by how excessively large this GPU is? It doesn't even hit 125W and it's got a cooling solution fit for a 250W GPU. And yet, the noise and temperature levels aren't even that impressive. I'm sure you could chop off the 3rd fan and all the metal leading up to and get pretty much the same level of performance.
But hey, at least it's a decent overclocker, for a reasonable price.
The cooler on my Ventus XS is fairly small, but I haven't heard it's fans spin up yet....lol Doesn't really seem to take any real effort to cool a 1660Ti at all.

To me this card just screams volt-mod me!
The vrm section is somewhat upgraded over most of the other 4+2 phase cards. It looks to me like it has 2 low and 1 high side mosfet per phase instead of a single integrated driver, so it should be able to deliver substantially more current that other 4+2 phase cards. I think the bios pretty much confirms this, as it is shipping retail with +42% power adjustment available. There is no other card on the market that I have seen with such a high power limit. You can find the retail bios for this card on the TPU bios database.
With volt-modding in mind the cooler on this card makes more sense. It should allow cooling of an aggressively volt-modded and overclocked chip, where two fan designs may struggle or become noisy.
If you aren't going to volt-mod it then this card is overbuilt and the cooler is too large. But for volt-modders it looks ideal.
